Campus
Overview.

The Romblon State University – San Fernando Campus, formerly Sibuyan Polytechnic College (SPC), has a proud history of providing quality education to Sibuyan Island. Before its integration into the university system in 2001, SPC offered two-year technical courses and secondary education. In 1997, it pioneered the Bachelor in Industrial Arts (BSIA) program, producing the island’s first four-year course graduates. This eventually evolved into the Bachelor in Industrial Education (BSIE) with majors in Automotive, Electricity, Drafting, and Food Trades.

With the campus’ conversion to RSU, new programs were introduced, including Bachelor of Secondary Education and Bachelor of Elementary Education in 2004, followed by Business Administration (with majors in Financial Management and Marketing) and Hotel and Restaurant Management in 2005, now renamed Hospitality Management.

In 2012, the Bachelor in Technical Teacher Education (BTTE) was launched with various majors and later renamed BTVTED in line with the K-12 curriculum. The Bachelor of Science in Information Technology (BSIT) was also approved that same year, further strengthening the campus’ reputation in technical and technological training.

Today, RSU – San Fernando Campus proudly continues its legacy as the Campus of Industrial Technology, offering market-driven programs in Education, Business, Hospitality, and Information Technology, preparing students to become globally competitive professionals while serving the needs of the local community.
